My Rubbish

My Rubbish

We all have things we aren’t good at, I guess I shouldn’t speak for everyone. I have things I am not good at. The topic for this week’s Monday Listicles is 10 Things You Are Rubbish At. Here is my list.

1. Spelling – Thank God for spell check and my husband.

2. Singing – I try hard, but there is no hope.

3. Drawing – You know how some people can sit down and draw something great. That is not me. Stick figures are my only game.

4. Being Outgoing – I am pretty shy, so when it comes to walking into a group of people and introducing myself, I hate it.

5. Saying No – I try to set limits and boundaries, but it is hard for me to say no. I feel guilty about it.

6. Letting Things Go – I tend to stress and want to make things perfect, instead of letting things go and enjoying the moment.

7. Not Getting Embarrased – I get embarrassed really easily, even in situations where I shouldn’t worry about it.

8. Being Trendy – I am a very classic girl. I am trying to be more trendy, but so far I am struggling with it.

9. Playing Basketball – I am generally sporty, but this is one I had no luck with.

10. Following My Priority List – This goes hand in hand with saying no. It is really hard for me to not add new items to my list.

What things are you terrible at? We all can’t be perfect.

  1. It is like you are my twin!! My son asked me to draw a horse when he was barely two and told me he likes the cow but he still wants the horse…
Seems a lot of us have trouble saying no. Wonder if it is a girls thing?

    1. Sarah says:

Hmmm, I will have to poll my friends to see if any women can draw.

  2. #7, oh kindred spirit. I have learned to accept the permanent blush on my face. Its annoying, but it’s just who I am. Always embarrassed in public.

    1. Sarah says:

It doesn’t help that I blush really easily too. Even if I am not really embarrassed I still blush and that makes it even worse.

  3. With you 100% on #6. I really struggle with that too.

    1. Sarah says:

I am really working on that. It is part of my stress management plan.

  4. Priorities, spelling and singing. I should have said being decisive about my priorities — that is really true for me.

    1. Sarah says:

Singing seems to be a common one.

  5. I’m with you on 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, & 9 (all sports). I say no too much. I’m currently working on saying yes. And I’m probably a little too out going. But it works for me. I figure at my age I don’t need to worry about trends any more. Ok, that’s bullshit. I’d like to be hip and trendy but who has the time or the money to shop? I’ve got 3 little girls to shop for. And a martini budget to maintain.

    1. Sarah says:

We are never to old to be a bit trendy.

  6. Hmm, maybe all of us bad singers should get a flash mob together. Can you imagine? saying No seems to be a universal, very hard to do.

    1. Sarah says:

Wouldn’t a flash mob be fun. I have always wanted to do one.

  7. Great list! I am horrible at not being embarrassed and being shy!
